So how does it work?
We place fraud alerts with the three major credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax, and Trans Union. We work with ChexSystems to verify the integrity of your checking account and ensure there are not other accounts in your name of which you are unaware. We then remove you from the “junk mail” lists, which will dramatically reduce the amount of junk mail you receive. We don’t just remove you from the lists the credit bureaus maintain and sell, but other lists as well. We will also place up to three phone numbers on the “do not call” registry to reduce the amount of phone solicitations you receive. Additionally, we will make sure that you receive two credit reports every year. There are other proprietary actions we take which we do not publish to keep identity thieves from working around our program.
